In 1994
Net Tech Inc. was founded on relationships. We believe that in order to
provide high quality long-term solutions it requires building strong relationships.
For us, that means more than strong relationships with our customers, but also vibrant
relationships with our employees, vendors, service providers, and even our competitors.
While we utilize technological tools as part of our solution to business problems, the
human element is a critical piece as well. Putting together complex solutions to todays
business problems requires an orchestration of numerous skill sets, many which NTI has, but
many that we partner with others to provide. To make this work well, it requires a great
deal of trust and understanding of our partners capabilities. That requires a good deal
of time building a relationship. Many of us have worked in this industry since the early
days and have relationships that go back over 16 years. By having these strong
relationships, NTI is able to respond quickly when needed to large tasks. Two such
projects are as follows:
World Trade Organization in Seattle

In November of 1999, near the height of final preparations for Y2K, it was
announced by one of our clients that since they were located near the heart of what
promised to be the most active WTO protests, that they would be vacating their offices
during that time. The challenge was that they wanted to keep on working as though nothing
was wrong. This notice came 2 weeks before the event. NTI kicked into action, rallying
our resources and business partners to quickly establish a remote access environment where
employees of this client could be located anywhere they had access to the Internet and have
access to their desktop. Remote sites were identified and set up, including space in our
Tukwila offices. A server farm was purchased, tested and installed. Laptops and other
remote clients were purchased or rented. Training was held and procedural documentation
was created. In order to assure smooth continuous operation, one of our staff was located
at these offices throughout the event. During the WTO conference, while many of the area
business were sending their employees home, this clients employees were able to have
access to the site and continue to do their work as though they had never left.
Experience Music Project

The EMP (Experience Music Project) opened in the summer of 2000. In order to herald
the opening, a press center needed to be established where members of the press from
throughout the world would be able to have access to phones and computers with Internet
connectivity. One of our clients facilities was chosen as the site for this event.
The notice on this was short, though, and even though our client had highly qualified
staff of their own, they were fully engaged in mission critical projects. We had a
two-week notice to have this set up and running. During that time, we arranged for
and installed all of the computer systems, wiring and connectivity. Working with one
of our partners, we had fiber optics and coax cabling pulled to locations in the Seattle
Center area. We staffed the site throughout the event. By partnering with many of
the companies that we maintain relationships with and with our clients own IT staff,
we were rapidly able to solve this clients need and assist them in providing a very
successful press center.
Strong relationships are what provided us the chance to be given the opportunity to
solve these problems. Strong relationships are what gave us the ability to put the
large teams together to make these solutions work.
So, what is it that NTI does? We are a Systems Integrator. We tie the pieces
together and make it work. We utilize many of our own skill sets to put solutions
together, including specialties in remote access solutions, Microsoft product
implementations and conversions, custom software development and report writing,
outsourced IS support, and computer telephony solutions. We also, though, rely on
our many long developed relationships with other specialists in the industry to put
the final solution together. We partner with our customers, learning their business,
their vision, and their mission in order to more fully solve the business problems at hand.
And now I will show you a more excellent way, if I speak with the tongues of men and
angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or clanging cymbal. If I have
the gift of prophecy and could fathom all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have a
faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess
to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
